Church of England School
St Silas CE Primary School is proud to be a Church of England school which serves a multi-faith, multi-cultural and diverse community in the heart of Toxteth. We are extremely privileged to be in a position where we can offer an inclusive and authentically Christian environment which challenges children to consider ‘big questions’, allows them to develop their relationship with God and encourages them to encounter different faiths, beliefs and views.
Church schools have Christian beliefs and values at their heart. This means that every child and adult associated with the school is not only important because they are members of the school, but also because they are seen as unique individuals created by God.
CHURCH SCHOOL POLICY STATEMENT
At the heart of our school lies a shared commitment to excellence in education, guided by our distinctly Christian vision: 'That each and every child should thrive, flourish and live life in its fullness' (John 10:10). This is underpinned by the Rainbow Trust's vision: 'To ensure that each and every child, no matter what their background or circumstance, reaches their potential and leaves us ready for the next stage of life'.
Every policy and framework implemented at St Silas CE Primary School is intentionally ctafted and formally approved to reflect this foundational vision.
This commitment ensures we meet the following obligations.
- Statutory Duty: We adhere fully to all relevant legislation and government requirements pertinent to school operation, safeguarding, data protection and employment.
- Each policy is intentionally aligned with our distinctly Christian vision: 'That each and every child should thrive, flourish and live life in its fullness' (John 10:10).
